with Apollo
Phi Phi & Bamboo Islands (8 hrs)
Here is the thing about boating in Thailand: most operators run you through the same tired circuit. The Apollo, a custom-built 47ft private speedboat, cuts that nonsense entirely. You're looking at a vessel designed specifically for Phuket waters—not a hand-me-down catamaran that's seen better decades.
This eight-hour run to Bamboo Island (Koh Mai Phai) and the Phi Phi Islands matters because speed lets you actually get somewhere. Rather than sitting in traffic with thirty other tour groups, you're hopping between genuine diving spots and quieter anchorages. The island-hopping rhythm works—hit the coral, move on before the crowds arrive, repeat.
Plus, in these Thai waters, monsoon season (May to October) hits different. Sure, tropical showers are real—brief, warm, and they make the ride bouncy. But what matters in Thai waters is that this season is when Thailand exists as locals know it. The floating markets bustle. Temple life carries on. It is recommended you pack quick-dry clothing because, frankly, you're getting wet either way.
November through February offers calmer seas if you're after smooth sailing. Either way, thirty passengers maximum on the Apollo means you're not packed like sardines. The boat moves fast enough that you're never stuck anywhere boring.
As relaxing as a hammock, but with better views and actually getting somewhere worth going.

关于 APOLLO
Upscale comfort, serious speed, and an itinerary limited only by daylight: At 30 knots, distance becomes a suggestion. This premium 47ft speedboat puts trips on the table that normal day boats simply can't reach: Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay in a single day, or a run out to Koh Rok or the Similan Islands.
